Setting MX record email di Live App (Solved Problem)

Jika kita memiliki email berektensi domain sendiri dan telah menginstal pada server email gratis dan ternyata hosting kita telah berakhir tentulah semua aplikasi tersebut akan tidak berjalan dengan sebagaimana mestinya, contoh kita hanya bisa mengirimkan email saja tetapi tidak bisa menerima email.

Tentulah salahsatu penyebabnya adalah MX record pada hosting kita ikut terhapus sehingga arus keluar masuk email jadi terganggu.

Salah satu solusinya adalah kita harus membeli hosting baru ataupun mencari hosting gratisan yang menyediakan setting MX record di CPanel. Seperti yang telah saya alami ketika saya mengintegrasikan email berektensi sendiri pada Live App.

Permasalahan kemudian timbul setelah kita mendapatka hosting baru, tapi apa yg harus saya lakukan? sedangkan seting awal telah ikut terhapus. Setelah browsing sebentar ternyata saya mendapatkan nilai MX record tersebut.

Isilah setting berikut pada CPanel anda :

DNS Record Type: MX

Host: yourdomain.com

MX server: 442368421.pamx1.hotmail.com

TTL: 3600 or 1 hour

Priority: 0 (or High priority) 

DNS Record Type: MX

Host : yourdomain.com

MX server : 1299328275.pamx1.hotmail.com

TTl : 3600 or 1 hour

prior : 10

DNS Record Type: TXT  

Host: yourdomain.com

Value: v=spf1 include:hotmail.com ~all  

TTL: 3600 or 1 hour (if requested)

Setting Up MX Record for Windows Live Domains in cPanel

In this post a full tutorial on how to set up mx entry for windows live domains in cPanel.

First lets talk about the service from Microsoft. Why do you add your domain name to Windows Live domains?

1. Getting an email at your domain name. yourname@yourdomainname.com
2. You can get an email name starts from one letter or number like 1@yourdomainname.com
3. Using your email in windows live messenger as support department in your site. support@yourdomainname.com
4. You get all hotmail services.
5. Your website email is always professional one instead of yourdomainname@gmail.com
6. You may open registration at yourdomainname.com and get more traffic to your domain when others use your name.

How to set up MX Record for Windows Live Domains in cPanel?

1. Go to http://domains.live.com and sign in with your Hotmail account.
2. Click on add domain.
3. In provide your domain name write your domain name and choose Set up Windows Live Hotmail for my domain.
4. Leave that page opened and go to your cPanel.
5. From cPanel choose MX Entry.
6. In Email Routing choose Automatically Detect Configuration (recommended).
7. Go to the page of windows live domains which stills opened and copy MX server. it should be like this one ***************c8af6f7d757a2d2fb.pamx1.hotmail.com stars are for hidden letters. Paste  MX server in MX entry cPanel page in destination field in Add new record and make Priority 10.
8. Then click on add new record.
9. In the bottom you will see two MX entries. remove the one with your domain name and leave only MX server’s one.
10. Go to Windows live domains page again and click on refresh.
11. You will see (Your service is Active).
12. Now you are done. register your email names you need and you can directly uses from windows live messenger.
13. Log in with your new email name in Windows Live Messenger a message will appear. Follow it to set up using your new email with windows live messenger.
14. If you moved your host you will need to reset up setting again from cPanel.

How to modify your MX records for Google Apps Mail

Once you sign up your domain for Google Apps, you will have to change the MX records for your domain in order to use it in Gmail.

If you are using cPanel, this can be easily done by using the MX Entry option. There find the domain you will be pointing to Google Apps Mail and delete all of its MX records.

Then add the following MX records with the corresponding priority for your domain:

Mail Server
ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. (Priority 1)
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. (Priority 5)
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. (Priority 5)
ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM. (Priority 10)
ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM. (Priority 10)

When using the SiteGround MX Entry tool in cPanel, all you need to do is click the Set Google MX button and the needed records will be automatically set for your domain name.

The above instructions are in full compliance with the official Google Apps instructions and have been adapted to work with cPanel. They will require 24 hours to propagate and take effect. After that your mail will be handled exclusively by Google Apps Mail.

If your host does not use cPanel, you will have to find another way to change the MX records to Gmail. Still, the changes will be very similar to the above and the DNS records will be the same.

1. Buka link ini untuk memulai pendaftaran, masukan nama domain Anda di kolom atas, kemudian dibawahnya pilih Set up Outlook.com for my domain, setelah itu click continue. (lihat gambar diatas).
2. Setelah itu Anda akan disuruh memilih 2 pilihan, pilih lah pilihan kedua yaitu: Create a new Microsoft account in your domain, ex: bupati@katingan.net. 
3. Setelah selesai mendaftar silahkan verifikasi email, lalu lanjut ke persetujuan agreement.
4. Setelah itu Anda akan diminta verifikasi DNS, yaitu mx record terutama, perhatikan setting yang diminta sebelum membuka DNS manager Anda, jika sudah selesai verifikasi click refresh. Untuk melakukan verifikasi yang diminta tadi, Anda perlu masuk ke DNS manager Anda, lalu pilih menu manage domain, lalu add mx record sesuai diminta (lihat gambar diatas)
5. Jika sudah selesai verifikasi tadi maka Anda akan dibawa ke halaman pengelolaan akun email Anda di domain.live.com, Anda dapat membuat akun hingga maksimal 500 akun, cukup click tombol Add.
